Civil Partnership

We will be having a Civil Partnership at some point once we can get everything in order.

As we start to organise things, we plan to record the details here.

I have one problem with Civil Partnerships and that is the discrimination that it brings down upon homosexual couples. A union between two people should be equal regardless of their sexuality. But the law at present discriminates and, as such, we have no option but to follow the law.

Perhaps things will change in the future. But probably not in the near future.

Acceptance
This seems to be the most difficult thing for some people. I do not mean 'approval' but acceptance of our right to live our lives as a family.

Children
Having a child is an inalienable right for any woman. But some people feel that unless a man is involved, then it is unacceptable. But surely a child with two loving parents is far more important than whether they are male or female?

Equality
Will there ever be true equality? We are not even allowed to get married, but need to have a Civil Partnership - equal but different.
